Sustainability
Materials
For every creation I source top quality solid sterling silver and gold. Your item will never be filled, plated or vermeil, therefore my design will not rub off on your skin or change appearance over time. While this choice was made from a quality point of view, it makes the jewellery sustainable in itself, by being long lasting and cutting out additional processes to add surface metal.
Packaging and Branding
Your order will arrive wrapped up and accompanied by carefully selected companions:
A sturdy shipping box made from FSC certified cardboard and manufactured in The Netherlands.
A simple yet elegant jewellery box that can be kept to protect your jewellery from tarnish at home and damage while on the go. All boxes are produced with FSC certified materials in Denmark.
One Japanese polishing cloth as a gift, to ensure your jewellery stays clean and beautiful. The fabric is professionally impregnated with polishing compound that will never wear out. In fact, the more it is used, the better it cleans! And it never needs to be washed - this will only make the cleaning power disappear.
All packaging and branding is sourced within the EU from professionals that I trust. If you should decide that any of the separate packaging items are unusable for you, they can be placed in a paper recycling bin. The padding inside the jewellery box and the polishing cloth can be brought to a local textile recycling point.
Studio Recycling
At my workbench and office I recycle everything I can. Precious metal that comes off a piece of jewellery in the making process gets collected, all down to the last grain of filing dust, and will find its way back to the caster to be melted into a new piece of jewellery.
In the rare event of a broken stone, this will be taken back to the lapidary and transformed into a new shape that can be used, worn and loved.
